Europe has known potatoes since the late 16th century, when they were brought from South America. The product has come a long way before becoming popular and in demand. Now we grow potatoes in the vegetable garden and actively buy them in stores.
Our recipe can be used if there are few products in the refrigerator or nothing meaty. It will turn out to be budget-friendly and delicious. We will make cheese flatbread with potato filling on potato dough. You can consider this treat a full-fledged pie. Try using our recipe!
Ingredients for the pie:
- Potatoes – 500 g;
- Flour – 300 g;
- Yeast – tsp;
- Cheese – 80 g;
- Vegetable oil – tbsp;
- Salt – tsp.
Preparation of the pie:
Peel the potatoes and cook in a pot until ready. Drain the water in a separate container, it will still be needed. Knead the potatoes into a puree, but not to homogeneity, leaving small lumps
. Now pour potato broth and reknead into a puree especially large lumps. Let cool to room temperature. Pour
a teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of yeast into the potato mixture. Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil, stir. In several steps pour sifted flour and
stir the mixture with a spoon

Grease a baking tray or a cooking mold with vegetable oil, send the dough onto it. Spread evenly over the entire surface. Sprinkle a small amount of grated cheese on top.
Wait 10 minutes for the yeast to work.
Send to an oven heated to 200 degrees Celsius for 25-30 minutes.
Cut into portioned pieces, pour tea and treat the family with potato cake.
