Pancakes are a good option for breakfast, as they are suitable for literally anyone. In addition to pancakes you can add sour cream, honey, condensed milk. So we add a new flavor to the fritters, turning the dish into a dessert.
The universality of fritters was proved long ago, back in the X century. It was then, according to historical accounts, that they began to cook full-fledged fritters. Before that time, people did not separate the concept of fritters and pancakes. There was not even a common recipe for fritters until the XIX century. This valuable dish began to be perceived as a delicious breakfast and snack only at the beginning of the XX century.
Let’s prepare puffed fritters at home.
Ingredients for fritters:
- Kefir – 180 ml;
- Egg – 1 pc;
- Salt – ½ tsp;
- Sugar – 3 tbsp;
- Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp;
- Soda – ½ tsp;
- Flour – 350 g.
Preparation of fritters:
In a bowl with kefir break the egg, pour salt and granulated sugar, pour vegetable oil, stir. Add baking soda to the kefir, stir.
Pour the flour into the kefir, knead the dough

Leave the resulting elastic dough for 20 minutes in the heat under a film.
Roll out the dough into a layer 2-3 mm thick. Roll the
dough
into a roll, cut into small rolls about a cm thick.
In a frying pan with 200 ml of vegetable oil, fry these fritters on both sides until golden on low heat.
These are simple fritters according to the new recipe.
They will replace the usual fritters, which do not always turn out puffy.
