Salads are the national Italian dish. However, it cannot be claimed that salads came to the world cuisine exactly from Italy. The original homeland of salads is ancient Rome. The very word salad is Roman, as it means salty. The
fact is that in ancient times salads were always salted to get an acceptable flavor. We can say that salt was the most basic dressing for this dish of greens.
Now the situation with salads and their dressing has changed significantly. Both vegetables and fruits, meat, fish and other products are added to the dish. Let’s prepare a delicious Barbie salad at home.
Ingredients for Barbie salad:
- beets – pcs;
- eggs – 3 pcs.;
- potatoes – 2 pcs;
- cheese – 100 g;
- pickled cucumbers – 50 g;
- red onion – ½ pc;
- parsley – a bunch;
- salt – a pinch;
- mayonnaise – tbsp;
- sour cream – 4 tbsp;
- walnuts – 4 pcs.
Preparation of Barbie salad:
Bake or boil to readiness beets, peel and grate on large sharps grater. Boil hard-boiled eggs, peel and also rub on a grater.
