Mannik is considered one of the most interesting pies that can be prepared at home. The fact is that mannik has been cooked since ancient times. It was baked at times when flour ran out. At the same time, pies made of semolina groats turned out no worse than the usual ones made of wheat flour.
Now the recipes for manniki have become much more diverse. Mostly, sweet semolina pies are prepared. This is a great dessert for tea, budgetary, while original.
Ingredients for mannikin:
- Kefir – 200 g;
- semolina – 150 g;
- Egg – 3 pcs;
- Salt – a pinch;
- Sugar – 150 g;
- Butter – 100 g;
- Flour – 100 g;
- Baking powder – tsp;
- Vanillin – 2 g;
- Cooked condensed milk – 3 tbsp;
- White chocolate – 15 g.
Preparation of mannika:
Pour kefir into a bowl, pour semolina and stir. Leave the semolina to swell in kefir for 30 minutes.
In a separate bowl mix eggs with salt and sugar, beat with a mixer.
Pour the melted butter into the egg mixture

Add the swollen semolina to the egg mixture, beat with a mixer so that there are no lumps

Sift flour and baking powder into the semolina mixture, knead the dough.
Grease a baking mold with butter, place the dough in the mold and smooth the surface.
Bake the pie in the oven at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Check the readiness with a wooden skewer.
Smear the surface of the pie with boiled condensed milk. Melt white chocolate, put it in a pastry bag. Cover the layer of condensed milk with white chocolate, use a wooden skewer to create a pattern.
As a result, we have a soft and tender mannikin.
