A large number of people know about cooking different dishes from carrots. Carrots are in fact one of the most popular vegetables on the market. Without carrots it is impossible to imagine soups, many salads and second dishes. It is a great addition to meat, fish and other vegetables.
However, carrots are mostly considered an unremarkable vegetable. It doesn’t play a key role in recipes for dishes.
Some apparently just don’t know dessert recipes with carrots. Now there is an abundance of ways to prepare carrot baked goods. Let’s show you how their carrots can be made into a dessert.
Ingredients for carrot jelly:
- carrots – 500 g;
- sugar – 90 g;
- cornstarch – 3 tbsp.
Preparation of carrot jelly:
Peel carrots and cut into not particularly thick circles. Put the carrots in a saucepan and pour two cups of water. Boil the carrots until soft, they should cut freely with a knife.
Put the carrots in a deep bowl and shred them with a blender.
Transfer the carrot mass into a frying pan,
pour
sugar over it.
Dissolve starch in 100 ml of water, pour it into the carrot mixture and mix until homogeneous. On medium heat bring the mixture to thickening.
Grease a mold with vegetable oil, pour the carrot mixture into it. Leave the mass under a food film in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
The result is jelly from carrots.
We recommend sprinkling the jelly with coconut crumbs and cutting it into small pieces.
