It is believed that the country of salads is France. From this country in the XIX century came new revolutionary recipes for this dish. However, salad came to France thanks to the Apennine Peninsula. Chefs borrowed the recipes of the dish popular on the island and transferred it to their country. From there, salads began to spread around the world. In Europe, they began to invent new ways of preparing salads. The most relevant are “Caesar”, “Greek” and “Olivier”.

If you are tired of classic salads, we can offer a recipe for a new light salad with chicken breast.

Ingredients for the salad:

  • chicken breast – pcs;
  • eggs – 4 pcs;
  • cucumber – pcs;
  • green onion – bundle;
  • onion – 1 pc;
  • hard cheese – 100 g;
  • mayonnaise – 4 tbsp;
  • salt – ½ tsp.

Ingredients for onion marinade:

  • salt – ½ tsp;
  • sugar – 2 tbsp;
  • vinegar – 3 tbsp;
  • water – 150 ml.

Preparation of the salad:

Dice the onions into small cubes, put them in a cup and mix them with salt and sugar. Pour vinegar and water into the onion, leave to marinate for 10 minutes.
