Not always pies can be in the classic form – in the form of triangles or buns. Sometimes it is worth giving in to experimentation and trying to cook pastries from abroad.

For example, there is an interesting recipe for Chinese pastries. Meat patties are often a substitute for ordinary bread, as for the inhabitants of the East pita. Such patties are prepared simply, in a skillet. In this case, a hearty pastry is obtained, which acts as an independent dish and as a side dish to meat and soups.

Ingredients for Chinese meat patties:

  • Vegetable oil – 30 ml;
  • Onion – 1 pc;
  • Boiled rice – 100 g;
  • Warm water – 250 g;
  • Sour cream – 2 tbsp;
  • Salt – 1 tsp;
  • Flour – 400 g;
  • Leavening agent – 1.5 tsp.

Preparation of Chinese meat patties:

Cut onions into half rings, put them in a frying pan with hot vegetable oil. Fry onions until soft, add minced meat. Salt the meat, add spices – paprika and coriander to taste.

Fry minced meat and onions until ready. Boil rice until cooked, add it to the meat mass and mix.

Put sour cream in warm water, salt and mix. Sift flour combined with baking powder into the sour cream liquid and knead the dough.

Seal the resulting kolobok with food film and leave it warm for 15 minutes. Form 10 small

rolls

out of the dough, cover with cling film

and roll out each roll into a rectangular layer 2-3 mm thick. Put the filling of rice and minced meat on the short edge of the plate and roll it up.
