Cheesniki is a cottage cheese dish similar to fritters. The Slavs first became aware of cheesniki a long time ago. They were prepared from cottage cheese, which in the western parts of the country was called cheese. For this reason, the curd viands are called cheesniki. However, both versions of the pronunciation are acceptable.

Dishes from cottage cheese were widespread among the people. Therefore, cheesecakes quickly took root. Now it is difficult to imagine a breakfast in which you can not include cheesecakes.

Ingredients for cheesecakes:

  • 9% cottage cheese – 700 g;
  • Egg – 1 pc;
  • Salt – 1/3 tsp;
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp;
  • semolina – 3 tbsp;
  • Flour – 100 g.

Preparation of cheesecakes:

Pour salt and granulated sugar into a deep bowl with egg, beat with a whisk until the grains of sand are dissolved. Add cottage cheese to the egg mixture, pour in semolina and stir.
