It was not until the end of the 20th century that scrambled eggs became a common dish for people. Up until modern times, eggs were not cooked separately.
In the XVII century, a dish slightly similar to scrambled eggs was considered a delicacy and served to the festive table. In our country, fried eggs began to be eaten around the XVIII century.
Eggs were a luxury for peasants, as they cost quite a lot of money. Peasant hens did not carry so many eggs to consume them separately.
Now we have the opportunity to fry eggs all the time. Let’s tell about one unusual recipe for scrambled eggs.
Ingredients for scrambled eggs:
- onions – pcs;
- carrots – 200 g;
- bell pepper – 80 g;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- butter – 50 g;
- eggs – 4 pcs;
- milk – 70 ml;
- cheese – 100 g;
- salt – ½ tsp.
Preparation of scrambled eggs:
Dice the onion into small cubes. In a frying pan melt butter, put garlic cloves through a press. Add onion to the garlic, fry for a couple of minutes.
Cut carrots into small cubes, send them to the onions in the frying pan. While the vegetables are frying for 3 minutes, cut the peeled bell pepper.
Put the pepper to the onions and carrots, sprinkle the vegetables with salt, stir. Stew the vegetables for 3 minutes and then remove from the heat.
In a separate bowl, combine the eggs with a pinch of salt and milk, beat until smooth. Grate the cheese and place it together with the roasted vegetables in the egg mixture.
Grease muffin molds with vegetable oil, pour the mixed egg mixture into them. Bake the dish for 15 minutes in the oven at 200 degrees.
As an additional ingredient, you can use green onions. It is added when frying vegetables, at the end.
