Ingredients for pickled beets:
- Beets – 350 g;
- Red tkemali – 500 g;
- Water – 100 ml;
- Cilantro – 20 g;
- Parsley – 20 g;
- Dill – 20 g;
- Onion – 1 pc;
- Garlic – 3 cloves;
- Salt – ⅓ tsp. salt.
Preparation of pickled beets:
Peeled beets should be cut into small pieces, 1,5 cm thick. Put beets in a saucepan together with red tkemali, pour water over the mixture.
Boil the beets, bring to a boil, and then cook for 10 minutes without a lid. At this time you need to cut quarter rings of onions, finely chop cilantro, parsley, dill
. In the saucepan to the hot beets, put onions and herbs, pass garlic cloves through the press. Mix the ingredients, cover with a lid for 5-7 minutes.
