The most delicious and inexpensive cake for the New Year. “Smeetannik” – a simple recipe for a beautiful dessert

Cake “Smetannik” is a classic of Russian confectionery, which is gaining popularity due to its exquisite taste and ease of preparation. This sweet dessert is based on sour cream, which best emphasizes the tenderness and lightness of the pastry. Cake “Smeetannik” is ideal for both everyday tea and festive tables, pleasing the hostess with its versatility and attractiveness. The

main ingredient – sour cream – gives the cake not only a slight acidity, which balances the sweetness, but also makes its texture surprisingly soft and moist. In combination with thin crusts, which can be made of both sponge cake dough and sandy dough, a harmonious and tasty treat is obtained.

Variations with the addition of nuts, berries or fruit to the cream will allow everyone to prepare their own unique “Smetannik”, adding individuality to the classic recipe.

Ingredients for the sponge cake:

  • Eggs – 5 pcs;
  • Sugar – 180 g;
  • Flour – 110 g;
  • Cocoa – 30 g;
  • Salt – 1/5 tsp;
  • Vanillin – ¼ tsp;
  • Cinnamon – ¼ tsp.

Ingredients for the cream:

  • Sour cream 20-25% – 1kg;
  • Powdered sugar – 150 g;
  • Vanillin – 1/3 tsp;
  • Canned pineapples – 2 rings;
  • Canned peaches – 4 halves.

Ingredients for chocolate glaze:

  • Milk chocolate – 80 g;
  • Butter – 25 g.

Preparation of the cake “Smeetannik”:

Eggs mix with salt and start beating with a mixer, gradually add sugar. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, vanillin, salt, cinnamon and sift together in a sieve.

Beat the eggs until the surface of the mixture does not lose the patterns from the spoons. Pour into the mixture of loose products, knead a thick homogeneous dough.

Place the dough in a baking dish and bake at 180 degrees for 50 minutes. Then leave the biscuit to cool without the mold.
