“Cookies through a meat grinder.” I remembered the recipe from the USSR, now I make it all the time

Soviet times knew many recipes for inexpensive and delicious dishes. Among them were cookies through a meat grinder. Hostesses believed that so the treat turned out more airy and tasty.

Modern cooking knows more effective methods of preparing airy cookies. However, even this outdated recipe can be used for a change. Moreover, the cooking process does not take a lot of time, since you do not have to knead the dough.

Ingredients for cookies:

  • Flour – 500 g;
  • Eggs – 2 pieces;
  • Butter – 250 g;
  • Table vinegar – 1 tsp;
  • Soda – 0.5 tsp;
  • Sugar – 150 g;
  • A pinch of salt.

Cookie preparation:

Soft butter cut into pieces. Combine with granulated sugar and mix thoroughly in a bowl. Crack two hen’s eggs.

In a separate container mix the baking soda and vinegar. Add to the rest of the products.

Pass the flour through a sieve and gradually add to the main mass. Knead the dough. Now cover the dough with a film or plastic bag and send it to the freezer for 30 minutes.

Send small pieces of dough to a meat grinder. Lay them out spaced apart on parchment.
