Quite a lot is known about European pastries. For example, we know about French croissants, Italian pizza, English pies and other buns. However, it is worth looking at the baked goods of other countries and peoples. In particular, it is interesting to bake various pies and buns in the Arab states.
Adhering to some of the rules of traditional cooking, the Arabs have a peculiar baked goods. They can add spices and seasonings to the pies, as well as use their own ancient techniques.

Ingredients for the dough:
- eggs – 4 pcs;
- leavening agent – tbsp;
- sugar – 150 g;
- flour – 200 g;
- salt – a pinch;
- milk – 70 ml;
- vegetable oil – 100 ml.
Ingredients for stuffing:
- cottage cheese – 250 g;
- sugar – 3 tbsp;
- starch – tbsp.
Preparation of Arabian pie:
In a bowl with 3 eggs pour salt and sugar, whisk until the grains of sand dissolve in the egg mass. Pour in vegetable oil and milk, continue beating until homogeneous.
Sift flour and baking powder into the egg mixture and knead into a thick dough

Grease a baking dish with butter and cover with parchment. Place the dough in the mold, spread it evenly on the surface.
In a separate bowl, combine cottage cheese with egg, starch and sugar. Using an immersion blender, whip the cottage cheese with the rest of the ingredients into a cream. Transfer the cream into a pastry bag and
create a large grid on the surface of the pastry with the curd cream.
Bake the pie at 180 degrees for about 30-35 minutes.
Before serving the pie on the table, you can sprinkle its top with powdered sugar.
We recommend adding a little lemon zest to the dough, so the pastry will become more fragrant, with a richer flavor.
