For holidays or friendly feasts, we would recommend that you make an appetizer of puff pastry with sausage filling.
Ingredients for the sausage appetizer:
- puff pastry – 400 g;
- cheese – 150 g;
- egg – pcs;
- mayonnaise – tbsp;
- ketchup – 2 tablespoons;
- pickled cucumbers – 2 pcs;
- boiled sausage – 100 g;
- tomato – pcs;
- smoked sausage – 100 g.
Preparation of sausage appetizer:
Lightly roll out the puff pastry with a rolling pin and divide it into rectangular layers of 5×8 cm. Place the rectangular sheets on a parchment-lined baking tray
. In a separate bowl, crack an egg, mix the egg yolk with the egg white and brush over the surface of the dough. Lubricate the plates also with ketchup.
Cut the cooked and smoked sausage, tomato and pickles into small cubes. Place the chopped products on the surface of the dough
. Shred the cheese on a small grater. Cover the stuffing on the dough first with mayonnaise, then with a cheese cap.
Bake the appetizer in the oven at 190 degrees for 20 minutes.
In taste, such an appetizer resembles a quick homemade pizza. At your discretion, you can add greens – green onions and dill – to the appetizer.
