Among the many different appetizers for the holiday table, it is important to choose what is suitable for your family. It is necessary to focus on the taste preferences of both adults and children. And you should also be sure to take into account the number of guests at the event.

If you need to please a large number of relatives, then you need a special appetizer cake. This is a dish consisting of several layers of fillings. It is hearty and delicious, ideal for a festive feast.

Prepare a snack cake can be made from the most affordable products. As a rule, chicken meat, mushrooms, cheeses and an uncomplicated sauce are suitable for the cake

. However, in order not to turn the appetizer into a salad, it is required to show originality. For example, in the recipe for this appetizer cake, each layer has a base in the form of pita. So all the layers do not mix, preserving their shades of flavor.

Let’s prepare a festive snack cake with three fillings

Ingredients:

  • pita – 2 sheets ;
  • eggs – 3 pcs;
  • salt;
  • ground black pepper;
  • oregano.

Ingredients for stuffing:

  • chicken shanks – 6 pcs;
  • salt;
  • garlic – 3 cloves;
  • paprika – 1 tsp;
  • soy sauce – 3 tbsp;
  • mustard – 1 tsp.

Ingredients for mushroom stuffing:

  • mushrooms – 500 g;
  • onion – 200 g;
  • salt.

Ingredients for cheese filling:

  • cheese – 150 g;
  • walnuts – 60 g;
  • prunes – 60 g;
  • sauce – 3 tbsp.

Ingredients for sauce:

  • mayonnaise – 150 g;
  • sour cream – 150 g;
  • salt;
  • garlic – 3 cloves;
  • cheese – 50 g.

Preparation of the appetizer:

For the meat filling, mix chicken shanks with salt, paprika, soy sauce and mustard. You can replace the mustard with mustard seeds.

Grate the garlic cloves finely and add them to the shanks. You can replace the garlic with garlic powder if desired.

Leave the chicken shanks to marinate for 30 minutes. Then bake the shanks at 180 degrees for 40 minutes. If there is no time, you can do without long marinating of meat.

For mushroom stuffing, chop finely onions and in a frying pan in vegetable oil fry until soft and transparent. Cut the mushrooms finely and put them in with the onions, fry for 4-5 minutes.

Make pita bread blanks – cut out circles using a plate with a diameter of 18-22 cm. We need 6 pita pieces

. Beat eggs with salt, ground black pepper and oregano

Dip billets in egg mixture and fry one by one in a frying pan for a minute each.

Separate meat of baked shanks from the bone, chop finely

For the cheese filling, grate cheese, chop nuts and prunes with a knife.

For the sauce, mix sour

cream and

mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Rub garlic cloves into the sauce, add cheese.

Mix cheese with prunes and nuts, dress with a couple of spoonfuls of sauce. Place the first pita blank in the pastry ring, smear with sauce.

Pour a part of chicken meat, smear the meat layer with sauce and put the second pita blank. Grease the pita, put a part of the mushroom stuffing. Grease

the mushroom stuffing with sauce and put the pita blank on it. Again cover with sauce and lay out the cheese filling. Similarly alternate layers of meat, mushrooms and cheese.
