A spectacular crab stick salad with a new ingredient – will be a hit at any holiday table!

Salads with crab sticks – this is one of the actual ideas for a festive appetizer for any event, whether it is New Year’s Eve or Birthday. Such salads turn out tender, hearty and with a note of sea flavor.

Originally, crab sticks appeared in Japan in 1960-1970. At that time, the country was experiencing a shortage. Not everyone could afford to buy expensive fish rich in protein. Meat was a luxury for the Japanese. Therefore, Japanese food engineers came up with briquettes of inexpensive but tasty fish.

Later the idea was taken over by Soviet food engineers. In the USSR, crab sticks appeared on the shelves in the 1980s. Hostesses immediately came up with a dish from this product – crab salad.

Ingredients:

  • crab sticks – 250 g;
  • processed cheese – 100 g;
  • eggs – 2 pcs;
  • green onion – 5 rays;
  • garlic – 1 clove;
  • mayonnaise;
  • salt.

Preparation of salad with crab sticks:

A couple of crab sticks briefly put away in the freezer. Cut the rest of the sticks finely, chop green onions. Grate

melted cheese on a coarse grater. Chop hard-boiled eggs, mix with crab sticks, green onions and cheese.

Press a garlic clove into the salad, salt

and

pepper to taste. Dress the salad with mayonnaise and mix.

Put the salad in a cooking ring, rub frozen sticks on the top.
