Beet salads have always been an important part of the cultures of many countries. For example, such salads are often prepared in Russia, in Mediterranean countries, in the Netherlands, and in Finland. Each country has its own special recipes. Often beets are combined with herring, garlic, onions. However, there are more interesting combinations that are not always found in beet salads.
Such combinations include canned corn, eggs, cheese. But these components complement the flavor of beets well, make salads more tender, nutritious and slightly sweet.
Salad dressing can be different. Beets are so versatile that they combine with both ordinary mayonnaise, and with mustard, vegetable oil, lemon juice.
Let’s prepare some simple salads with beets
Ingredients for beet salad #1:
- Boiled beets – 3 pcs;
- Canned corn – 300 g;
- Red onion – 1/2 pc;
- Dill – 1/2 bundle;
- Parsley – 1/2 bundle;
- Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp;
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp;
- Ground black pepper;
- Salt.
Preparation of beet salad №1:
Cut the cooked beets into small cubes, cut the red onion in half rings. Crush garlic with a fork, chop and add to the salad along with canned corn. Chop
dill and parsley and pour into the salad. Dress the salad with vegetable oil, lemon juice, pepper and salt.
Mix all salad components and serve.

This is a great slightly sweet salad with beets and corn.
Ingredients for salad #2:
- beets – 2 pcs;
- cheese – 70 g;
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- green onion – a small bundle;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- salt;
- mayonnaise – 3 tbsp.
Preparation of salad #2:
Grate coarsely grated cooked beets, cut small cubes of boiled eggs and mix in a bowl. Grate cheese and add it to the salad. Chop
green onions, crush a clove of garlic and chop it finely. Put onions and garlic in the salad, dress with mayonnaise and salt.

Mix all the ingredients in the salad. You get a tender simple beet salad with cheese and eggs.
