In different countries, pumpkin fritters are prepared in their own way. For example, in Poland, pumpkin fritters are made sweet by adding vanilla, powdered sugar and apples. In Germany, pumpkin fritters are more like potato pancakes. They are more hearty and not as sweet as Polish ones. In Italy, however, pumpkin doughnuts are more preferred.
Let’s tell you how to cook pumpkin fritters
Ingredients:
- Pumpkin – 600 g;
- Salt – 1/3 tsp;
- Sugar – 1 tbsp;
- Eggs – 2 pcs;
- Flour – 150 g;
- Baking powder – ½ tsp.
Preparation of pumpkin fritters:
Peel the pumpkin from the insides and remove the skin, grate it on a coarse grater. Pour salt and sugar to the pumpkin.
Divide eggs into yolks and whites, put the yolks to the pumpkin, stir. Pour the flour and baking powder to the pumpkin mass, knead a thick dough.
Beat the whites to a fluffy stable mass, put them into the dough and mix. Heat a little vegetable oil in a frying pan and spoon out portions of the batter.
Fry the pumpkin fritters on both sides until golden.

Serve these fritters better with sour cream, you get a simple breakfast for the whole family.
