Layered pies with cheese are a delicious and flavorful type of baked goods that are definitely worth making for your family. The pie is versatile and can be served as an addition to lunch or dinner, as well as for breakfast or a snack.
Cooking puff pastries is quite simple. The main thing is to take quality products for the recipe. Flour should be of the highest grade, and butter of a high fat percentage, that is, not less than 82%.
The dough should be divided and abundantly greased with butter. It is better to use vegetable oil in addition to butter. So the layers will not stick to each other in the process of baking and forming the cake. Otherwise, the layers will stick together and the pie will not be lush.
For the filling, it is worth taking several types of cheese. It is better to give preference to stretchy, salty cheeses. Let’s prepare a layered pie with cheese at home.
Ingredients:
- Flour – 500 g;
- Salt – 1 tsp;
- Boiling water – 300 ml;
- Butter – 80 g;
- Vegetable oil – 80 ml;
- Cheese – 200 g.
Preparation of puff pastry with cheese:
Mix flour with salt, pour in boiling water and knead a soft elastic and not sticky dough. Melt butter in a saucepan, pour in vegetable oil and
divide the dough into 4 equal parts. Roll out each block into a layer with a diameter of 18-20 cm.
Grease a plate with melted butter and vegetable oil, lay out the first layer. Lubricate the plate with the mixture of oils and place the second cake on it.

Cover the tortillas with cellophane and leave them for 10 minutes. Then stretch each flatbread into a thin large layer with your hands.
Grease the layer with the mixture of oils and sprinkle with coarsely grated cheese.

Fold the thin layer into a small square and place on a baking tray.

Similarly repeat the actions with the rest of the layers, laying them on top of each other. Stretch the layers into a large pie according to the size of the tray, smear the top of the pie with a mixture of milk and egg yolk.

Bake the pie at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
