Crab roll is a delicious and spectacular dish that has become a real classic on holiday tables and in the everyday menu of many people. Simplicity in preparation along with the bright taste and versatility of this appetizer attract the attention of both experienced cooks and novice hosts.
This roll, which is based on crab sticks or crab meat, is prepared with the addition of various ingredients. This allows you to create a variety of variations and find your ideal combination of flavors. The
history of crab roll began with the appearance of crab sticks in the Soviet kitchen, when they quickly gained popularity due to their availability and pleasant taste. Since then, this dish has become popular both in Russia and abroad. Its recipes have evolved, perfectly fitting into modern culinary trends.
Ingredients:
- square waffle – 2 pcs;
- crab sticks – 250 g;
- melted cheese – 3 pcs;
- mayonnaise – 100 g;
- garlic – 1 clove.
Preparation of crab roll:
Square waffle smear with mayonnaise, rub on the surface on a coarse grater melted cheese. Next, grate crab sticks on a coarse grater on the cheese layer.
Press a garlic clove through the press and put it evenly on the crab layer.
Cover the entire surface with mayonnaise and roll the waffle with the filling inside into a roll.
Seal the rolls in food foil and leave to fix in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours.
Then cut the roll into small portions.
You can also add your favorite vegetables, such as salad leaves, to the roll. If you don’t have a waffle, you can replace it with pita bread.
