Pickled cucumbers are a traditional dish of Russian cuisine, which can be served as an independent appetizer or used as an ingredient for other dishes.

Pickled cucumbers are often used in salads, soups and other dishes.
Ingredients:
- Cucumbers – 4 kg;
- Vegetable oil – 200 ml;
- Vinegar 9% – 200 ml;
- Sugar – 3 tbsp;
- Salt – 3 tbsp;
- Dry mustard – 2 tbsp;
- Garlic – 2 tbsp;
- Garlic – 10 cloves;
- Ground black pepper – 1 tsp;
- Ground red pepper – 1 tsp.
Preparation of cucumber appetizer:
Cut the cucumbers across into 7-8 mm thick circles.
For the marinade
in a
separate deep bowl combine vegetable oil
,
vinegar, salt, sugar, mustard, dry garlic, black and red ground pepper. Chop the garlic cloves not too finely, add to the marinade and stir for 3 minutes.
Pour the marinade completely into the pot with the cucumbers
.
Stir the cucumber mixture every 30 minutes. Marinate the cucumbers for 2 hours.
Then cook the cucumbers for 10-12 minutes until they change color to a slightly darker color, as if they were already pickled.
Put the cucumbers in sterilized jars, pour the marinade and close tightly with lids
.
Cover the jars with cucumbers with a towel and leave to cool. You get excellent pickled cucumbers for any feast.
