Berry cookies are a dessert that has its own history and many variants of preparation. The
history of berry cookies begins with the fact that this dessert became popular in Europe in the Middle Ages. Back then, berries were only available in season, so they were preserved in various ways: dried, cooked jam or used to make desserts.

It quickly gained popularity due to its taste and flavor. Over time, the recipe for berry cookies has undergone changes. Various ingredients such as nuts, chocolate, vanilla were added to it.

Ingredients for the dough:
- egg – 1 pc;
- sugar – 50 g;
- vegetable oil – 70 ml;
- flour – 170 g;
- leavening agent – 1 tsp;
- vanillin – 1 g;
- salt – a pinch.
Ingredients for the filling:
- berries – 150 g;
- sugar – 100 g;
- starch – 1 tbsp;
- walnuts – 50 g.
Preparation of berry cookies:
Break an egg into a bowl, pour sugar, salt and vanillin, mix thoroughly until the grains of sand dissolve. Pour vegetable oil into the mixture, sift flour with baking
powder, knead elastic and not sticky dough, leave it under cellophane in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. In the meantime, for the filling, mix berries with sugar and starch in a saucepan
. Cook the mixture until the berries thicken for 10 minutes. Chop the walnuts into crumbs and mix with the berry mixture.
Put the filling into a pastry bag.
Roll out the dough into a rectangle and divide into 3 strips

Spoon the filling into the middle of each strip.
Seal the filling inside the dough, pinching the opposite longitudinal edges.
Divide the resulting long rolls into shorter portions

Bake the cookies in the oven at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
