Flavorful pastries with raisins and candied fruits have always tasted delicious. Cupcakes have been and still are a popular dessert for most. The ancient Romans knew about the fact that cupcakes are delicious and sweet. It was in Rome that they started making cupcakes. The
pastries from the past are very different from what we have now. The Romans made a muffin from barley mass, to which they added raisins, pomegranate grains, nuts and honey.
Later muffins were revived in the XVI century

They began to be baked everywhere for rich people. Now a cupcake can afford everyone. It is better, of course, to prepare a muffin yourself.
Ingredients for a cupcake:
- Sugar – 200 g;
- Salt – a pinch;
- Zest of one lemon;
- Juice of ½ lemon – 50 ml;
- Butter – 120 g;
- Milk – 100 g;
- Flour – 250 g;
- Leavening agent – 1 tsp;
- Eggs – 3 pcs.
Ingredients for the fudge:
- Condensed milk – 100 ml;
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp.
Preparation of the cupcake:
Pour the lemon zest into the sugar, grind the components. Add soft butter to the mixture, mix. Break eggs into the mixture one by one, keep stirring.
Sift flour and baking powder into the prepared mixture, knead a thick dough

Pour lemon juice and milk into the dough, stir.
Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with flour

Shake off excess flour from the mold. Pour the dough into the mold, spread it on the surface.
Make a cut in the middle of the batter with a spatula. Bake the cupcake at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
For the fondant mix condensed milk with lemon juice.
Finished cupcake pour the fondant and leave to cool.
You can decorate the cake with lemon zest.
