. Let’s prepare puffy fritters on kefir.
Ingredients for fritters:
- Flour – 220 g;
- Leavening agent – 1 tbsp;
- Egg – 1 pc;
- Kefir – 250 ml;
- Salt – 1/2 tsp;
- Sugar – 1 tbsp.
Preparation of fritters:
Mix flour with baking powder. In a deep container break the egg and pour in kefir.
Salt the kefir, pour sugar, beat with a mixer until homogeneous

Pour the flour and leavening agent to the kefir and egg, knead a thick dough without lumps.
Leave the dough for 10 minutes in the heat. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan with a 5 mm layer of oil over the bottom.
Spoon portions of the dough into the pan.
Use a second spoon to help if the dough slowly drips into the oil.
You do not need to stir the batter additionally.
Fry the fritters on both sides until golden. It is important to observe that the oil does not smoke. Gradually reduce the heat during frying.
You can serve the fritters with sour cream and jam. You will get golden puffy fritters.
