This variant of cooking seemed boring to the inhabitants of the Russian Empire. For this reason, experiments with meat began. This led to the creation of chopped cutlets. This recipe was appreciated in Europe and in America. To this day, minced meat cutlets are considered part of the cultures of different countries. For example, American burgers are prepared with a cutlet.

Let’s tell you how to prepare puffy soft cutlets at home.

Ingredients for cutlets:

  • rice – 100 g;
  • water – 400 ml;
  • onion – 2 pcs;
  • minced meat – 500 g;
  • salt – ½ tsp;
  • black pepper – ⅓ tsp;
  • garlic powder;
  • spices for meat;
  • paprika;
  • egg – pcs;
  • carrot – pcs;
  • tomato – 2 pcs;
  • bell pepper – pcs.;
  • cream – 60 ml;
  • sour cream – 60 ml;
  • tomato sauce – 2 tbsp;
  • flour – tbsp.

Preparation of cutlets:

Boil rice in 200 ml of salted water. Cut a small diced onion, put it to the minced meat. Sprinkle the mince with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, spices for meat and paprika.

Break an egg into the mince, put the rice and mix thoroughly

Form the minced meat into cutlets, which then fry in a frying pan in vegetable oil on both sides.

Cut the second onion into a quarter ring. In a frying pan in vegetable oil, lightly fry the onion. Grate carrots on a coarse grater, add to the onions.

Cut tomatoes and peeled peppers finely, fry until soft together with onions and carrots. Mix in a separate bowl cream with sour cream and tomato sauce.

Pour flour into the mixture, stir the components. Pour 200 ml of water into the sauce, pour spices and salt, and then add to the vegetables in the frying pan.

Cook the vegetables with the sauce for a couple of minutes.

Put to the vegetable mixture cutlets and braise under a lid on low heat for 15 minutes.
