Khachapuri is one of the most popular national dishes all over the world. This cheese flatbread can be found in any Georgian restaurant. While cafes offer several types of khachapuri, there are many more in Georgia. Almost every family has its own ways of making cheese flatbread. In addition, in each region khachapuri are not the same. There are as Mingrelian-style khachapuri, Imeruli, Adjar-style and others. In
order to try all kinds of khachapuri, it is worth visiting Georgia. Unfortunately, in other countries, some varieties of this dish are not known at all.
Let’s prepare an analog of khachapuri for home – lazy khachapuri.
Ingredients for lazy khachapuri:
- kefir – 300 ml;
- salt – tsp;
- sugar – tsp;
- egg – 2 pcs;
- leavening agent – 10 g;
- vegetable oil – 3 tbsp;
- flour – 450 g;
- Suluguni – 300 g.
Preparation of lazy khachapuri:
In a bowl with kefir pour salt and sugar, break one egg and mix thoroughly until the grains of sand dissolve. Pour the baking powder into the kefir, pour in the vegetable oil and mix again.
Pour the flour into the kefir and knead an elastic and soft dough

Leave the dough in cellophane for 10 minutes.
In
the meantime, grate cheese on a coarse grater
, beat an egg into the cheese, salt and mix. Divide the cheese into 4 equal parts.
Divide the dough into 4 equal parts, form rolls.
Roll each roll into a thick cake, put filling in the middle.
Seal the filling inside the tortillas as if in a pouch
. Flatten each pouch of filling slightly to create 4 thick tortillas

Fry each flatbread on a dry frying pan until browned on both sides under a lid.
After cooking the lazy khachapuri can be greased with butter.
It turns out a delicious dish, reminiscent of a slightly Georgian dish.
