All types of cabbage originated from a single plant. Cabbage varieties were bred from different parts of this now unknown plant. This is how cauliflower, long called Syrian cauliflower, appeared. This cabbage was bred from the leafy cabbage in the Mediterranean. Why then is the cabbage named in honor of Syria?
From the Mediterranean cabbage came to the East, and in the XII century it was joined by the Spaniards. After a few centuries, cabbage began to spread throughout Europe.
Now cauliflower is popular, thanks to its benefits for the body. Let’s prepare a salad of cauliflower.
Ingredients for cauliflower salad:
- chicken fillet – 400 g;
- eggs – 3 pcs;
- cauliflower – 400 g;
- sweet pepper – pcs;
- red onion – pcs;
- dill – 3 sprigs.
Ingredients for the sauce:
- sour cream – 150 g;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- garlic – a clove;
- honey – ½ tsp;
- mustard – ½ tsp;
- lemon juice – 1 tsp.
Preparation of cauliflower salad:
Divide cauliflower into florets, dividing each in half. Mix the cauliflower with salt and vegetable oil, put it on a foil lined
baking
tray
. Bake the cauliflower for 15 minutes in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius
.
Grease a sheet of parchment with vegetable oil, salt, sprinkle with spices.
Put the chicken breast on the parchment, cover with spices and oil, cover with parchment. Seal the breast in the parchment and dry fry on both sides for 7 minutes on both sides under a lid.
In the meantime, boil hard-boiled eggs, peel and dice into small cubes. Cut thin bars of sweet pepper, cut red onion in half rings and chop dill. Dice
