Pies in the form of tubes appeared relatively recently in cooking. The fact is that people usually preferred classic pies. For this reason, no one thought about creating new types of baked goods. As a rule, pirozhki were either oval, rhomboid or triangular.
In the XIX century, the wife of a Russian innkeeper prepared rolls of dough with stuffing inside. The pirozhki were liked by the guests and immediately became popular. Of course, the first place among the guests was baked goods with meat.
Now you can also prepare such pies. Let’s create baked goods in the form of rolls in your kitchen.
Ingredients of the dough for meat patties:
- Sour cream – 2 tbsp;
- Leavening agent – 1.5 tsp;
- Salt – 1 tsp;
- Water – 250 ml;
- Flour – 400 g.
Ingredients for the filling:
- Vegetable oil – 30 ml;
- Onion – 1 pc;
- Stuffing – 350 g;
- Salt – ½ tsp;
- Coriander – ⅓ tsp;
- Paprika – ⅓ tsp;
- Boiled rice – 100 g.
Preparation of meat patties:
Chop finely onion, fry in a frying pan in vegetable oil until soft. Add minced meat to the onions, salt, sprinkle with coriander and paprika, mix.
Cover the stuffing with a lid and stew for 10 minutes.
While the stuffing is stewing, make the dough.
Pour
the sour cream, salt, baking powder and water into a bowl and mix.
Pour the flour into the water and knead a smooth, elastic dough

Cover the dough with cling film and leave it warm for 10 minutes.
Mix the prepared filling with the rice. Divide the dough into 12
rolls
, roll each one into a thin rectangular layer.
Put the filling on the edge of each layer and wrap into rolls

Do not forget to seal the free edge.
In a frying pan in vegetable oil fry the rolls on both sides until golden.
