“People like simple salads” – this was the statement made by a French chef in an interview for the Paris press. The chef explained his position by the fact that most people don’t want to bother with a lot of expensive and rare ingredients and learn to cook like in Michelin-starred restaurants. People are used to ordinary food. Therefore, it is worth giving the people quick and budget recipes for salads and other dishes.
Why is it important to pay attention to simple dishes? The fact is that their relevance is due to economy and speed in preparation. This is important if you are in a hurry, but you need an urgent snack.
Let’s prepare a budget salad of pickles.
Ingredients for the salad:
- Pickled cucumbers – 3 pcs;
- Canned beans – 380 g;
- Onion – 200 g;
- Carrots – 200 g;
- Vegetable oil – 4 tbsp;
- Dill – a bunch;
- Parsley – a bunch.
Preparation of the salad:
Cut pickles into small bars. Pour out the liquid from under the beans and mix it with cucumbers. Chop
finely onion, grate carrots on a coarse grater. In a frying pan in vegetable oil, lightly fry onions and carrots for 3-4 minutes.
Put onions and carrots in the salad. Chop dill and parsley, add to the salad and mix.
Thus we get a salad of pickles for every day. This is a good option for a snack.
