Cabbage is one of the oldest and healthiest vegetables available to almost the entire world’s population. It was bred from a single plant. And from different parts of the plant, different types of cabbage were obtained. It is amazing that cabbage has found its purpose in all cuisines of the world.

Now cabbage does not lose its status as one of the most important vegetables in the human diet. With cabbage we get fiber, vitamins and minerals. The vegetable helps in weight loss and is part of health-improving diets. Due to the fact that cabbage is a light vegetable, it is indicated for many diseases.

Let’s prepare at home stewed cabbage for garnish to main dishes.

Ingredients for braised cabbage:

  • White cabbage – 500 g;
  • Kefir – 300 ml;
  • Salt – 1 tsp;
  • Curry seasoning – 1 tsp.

Preparation of stewed cabbage:

Shred the cabbage finely and place it in a pan. Pour kefir to the cabbage and leave to stew under a lid on medium heat for 10-15 minutes.

Salt the cabbage, add black pepper to taste. Add curry to the cabbage and mix thoroughly.

Leave the cabbage for 5 minutes under a lid.
