It is important to know how to cook pies even in the XXI century. The fact is that this universal dish can save you from hunger. Cook pies can be made from almost any components, you only need flour, yeast and milk. The
filling for cooking pies can be different. Most often in bakeries buy pies with meat, cut – with cabbage.
A separate favorite of children are sweet pies – with jam or jam, fruit. But, bakeries often use cheap products and put little stuffing. Therefore, it is worth learning to prepare pies yourself.
Ingredients of the dough for cabbage pies:
- mineral water with gas – 300 g;
- flour – 550 g;
- vegetable oil – 80 g;
- dry yeast – 7 g;
- salt – tsp;
- sugar – tbsp.
Ingredients of stuffing:
- cabbage – ⅓ pcs;
- sweet paprika – tsp;
- onion – œ piece;
- hops-suneli – tsp;
- carrots – pcs;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- vegetable oil – 3 tablespoons;
- boiled meat – 200 g;
- butter – 60 g;
- tomato paste – 100 g.
Ingredients for greasing:
- egg – pcs;
- vegetable oil – tbsp;
- sour cream – tbsp.
Preparation of cabbage pies:
To prepare the dough, you need to combine salt, sugar and vegetable oil in mineral water. Sift flour and yeast into the water, knead the dough first with a spatula, then with your hands. The
container with the dough is placed in a pan of hot water.
In
order for the dough to rise, you need to allocate half an hour.
At this time you can chop finely onions, shred carrots. In a frying pan, heat vegetable and butter oils, fry onions and cabbage until golden.
When the cabbage becomes soft, tomato paste should be put into the vegetable mixture and stir.
While the mass is stewing, boiled meat should be run through a meat grinder.
A similar stuffing is added to the vegetable mass, mixed together. Before you take the stuffing off the fire, you need to salt it, add hmeli-suneli and paprika.
Knead the dough, form 18 identical lumps, which are then rolled into tortillas

Cover a baking tray with parchment and place the pies on it seam side down. Give the pies a little time to rise – about 15 minutes.
In a separate bowl, combine egg, sour cream and vegetable oil, brush each pie with this mixture.
Bake the pies at 180 degrees for about half an hour.
