Curd buns are flavorful and delicate pastries that are popular in many countries around the world. They are ideal for breakfast or a snack during the day.
The dough is based on cottage cheese, which gives the buns a special texture and flavor. The curd dough turns out soft and airy, and the finished products have an appetizing golden crust. The process of making cottage cheese buns does not require special skills and abilities.
Ingredients:
- Curd – 250 g;
- Butter – 100 g;
- Sugar – 70 g;
- Egg – 1 pc;
- Lemon zest;
- Flour – 300 g;
- Salt – a pinch;
- Soda – 1 tsp;
- Jam – 200 g;
- Coconut shavings – 2 tbsp.
Preparation of cottage cheese buns:
Beat eggs with sugar and lemon zest, add cottage cheese, butter, salt to the mixture and grind until smooth. Pour the flour and baking soda into the mixture, knead a soft and not sticky dough.
Divide the dough into two equal parts, one of them roll out into a rectangular layer 2-3 mm thick. Mix the jam with the coconut shavings and spread it on the dough
. Grease the dough all over the surface and roll the dough into a layer, sealing the edges.
Divide the roll into small portions, place them on a baking tray lined with parchment.
Bake the rolls at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Do the same with the second part of the dough.
After cooking the buns can be sprinkled with powdered sugar. Any jam to your taste is suitable for the recipe.
