People in different times managed to use cookies in different ways. The functionality of this dessert was so diverse that there were special recipes for cookies with wine.
Nowadays, this type of dessert is not used with alcohol. Probably, such a trend ceased to be popular after cookies penetrated into the mass culture of consumption.
Now it is impossible to find a store where there would not be a counter with cookies.
If you do not want to buy sugary cookies, it is worth making them yourself.
Ingredients for cottage cheese cookies:
- cottage cheese – 200 g;
- coconut shavings – 4 tbsp. tbsp;
- butter – 80 g;
- sugar – 6 tbsp;
- salt – a pinch;
- leavening agent – tsp;
- flour – 200 g.
Preparation of cottage cheese cookies:
Add butter to the cottage cheese, pour a couple spoonfuls of granulated sugar, salt and mix until homogeneous. You can also add vanilla sugar to the cottage cheese mixture to taste.
Sift flour and baking powder into the cottage cheese mixture and knead into an elastic and dense dough. Divide the dough into two parts, roll them out into layers less than a cm thick.
Align the layers on the edges, creating rectangles. Sprinkle sugar and coconut shavings on the surface of the sheets and roll into tubes.
Cut the tubes into portions of about 3-5 cm long. Place the future cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment.
Bake the cookies at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
After cooking, do not forget to sprinkle the cookies with powdered sugar. They turn out soft and tender inside due to cottage cheese, very sweet, with a hint of coconut.
