Pies are prepared quite simply, so this dish is considered one of the basic ones. It is only important to properly knead the dough to get puffy and tasty pies. To do this, it is worth preparing products in advance. For example, cold components – milk, kefir and oil bring to room temperature. Kneading the dough depends on what kind of dough you want to get.
Be sure to premeditate the filling for pies. Sometimes the filling should be prepared in advance. This way you will spend less time baking pies.
In the past, baking could be done all day long. It was a separate job for housewives. Now everything is much easier. You can cook pies with potatoes even in a frying pan.
Ingredients of the dough for potato pies:
- cottage cheese – 200 g;
- egg – 2 pcs;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- sugar – tbsp;
- kefir – 3 tbsp;
- baking soda – tsp;
- vegetable oil – 30 ml;
- flour – 300 g.
Ingredients for the filling:
- potatoes – 600 g;
- butter – 20 g;
- milk – 50 ml;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- dill – a bunch.
Preparation of potato pies:
In a bowl with cottage cheese, break an egg, pour salt and sugar, mix thoroughly.
Pour
into the mixture kefir and baking soda, stir until homogeneous.
Pour vegetable oil into the curd mixture, pour flour, knead elastic and soft dough with your hands.
Gather the dough into a block, leave it under cellophane for 15 minutes.
For the filling boil peeled potatoes and mashed potato them. Mix potatoes with butter and milk, mix. Chop
dill finely, pour it together with salt into the filling.
Divide the dough into 12 equal lumps. Roll out the lumps into thin tortillas, where we put a tablespoon of stuffing.
Seal the filling inside the dough, slightly flatten the patties.
In a frying pan in vegetable oil fry the patties on both sides until golden.
The result is ruddy patties with potatoes.
You can also add green onions and pickles to the filling for a brighter flavor.
