In terms of food and gastronomic diversity, there are often misunderstandings between our country and Europe. The most striking example of this dissonance is cutlets. In our culture, a cutlet is a dish made of minced meat. And the minced meat can be not only from an animal, but also from fish.

In European cuisine, a cutlet is a whole meat on the bone. It is important to note that cutlets in our version for Europeans are mostly meatballs. In mixed families with foreigners for this reason there are funny and absurd situations of misunderstanding.

Cutlets from minced meat have some advantages. To them you can add more spices and additional components for juiciness. We will show you how to make a lot of delicious cutlets.

Ingredients for chicken cutlets:

  • chicken meat – kg;
  • onion – 300 g;
  • ground black pepper – tsp;
  • salt – tbsp;
  • white bread – 6 slices;
  • paprika – tbsp;
  • milk – 150 ml;
  • mayonnaise – 2 tbsp;
  • garlic – 3 cloves;
  • butter – 50 g.

Cooking chicken cutlets:

We put slices of bread in a bowl with milk, let the pulp soak up the liquid. We cut onions into half-rings, garlic – thin slices

. Melt butter in a frying pan, fry first until soft onions. Add garlic to the onion, bring the mixture to readiness.

In a blender combine bread soaked in milk and onion mass, create a homogeneous substance. In a meat grinder grind the meat, integrate the bread and onion mass into the mince, mix.

Add mayonnaise, salt, paprika and ground black pepper to the total mass, mix thoroughly
