People only developed a warm friendship with salads in the 20th century. Although the need to appetize strong drinks, decorate the New Year’s table or open a summer meal has always been there. Previously, this role was performed by simple appetizers, such as herring with onions. But herring under a fur coat is already a salad, because we add more potatoes beets and mayonnaise. Also, the function of today’s salads was performed by pickled cucumbers or sauerkraut.
Any kind of salad was not distinguished as a separate dish, in cookbooks of that time you could find them in the section “salads and seasonings for roasts”. Now everything has changed, there are many recipes for delicious salads, and their place is now at the beginning of lunch. The
salad that we offer today is prepared quickly and belongs to a number of budget. Let’s try to cook.
Ingredients for the salad:
- smoked chicken breast – ½ pc;
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- potatoes – 2 pcs;
- pickled cucumbers – 3 pcs;
- cheese – 80 g;
- sweet pepper – pcs;
- mayonnaise – 2 tablespoons;
- salt – ½ tsp.
Preparation:
From the smoked chicken breast remove the skin. Cut the chicken in half and one of the parts cut into salad. Cut bell peppers into small cubes. Boil two chicken eggs in a saucepan and grate them on a coarse grater. Pour all the ingredients into a deep bowl.
You will also need to grate pickles on a coarse grater. Do the same with boiled potatoes. And 80 grams of cheese rubbed on a fine grater. Combine all the ingredients in one bowl.
We dress the resulting salad with two tablespoons of mayonnaise.
