Salad with potatoes and chicken is a dish that became a real classic on the tables of Soviet people. It combines simplicity of preparation, available ingredients and incredibly tasty result. Such a salad is perfect for both an everyday lunch and a festive dinner, delighting guests with its rich flavor.
The main components of this salad are boiled potatoes and chicken meat.
Potatoes give the dish a hearty and richness, and chicken – lightness. Depending on preferences and culinary traditions, a variety of ingredients can be added to this basic set: eggs, cheese, herbs and various sauces, such as mayonnaise or sour cream.
Let’s prepare a budget salad for the holiday
Ingredients:
- Boiled potatoes – 2 pcs;
- Salt – ⅓ tsp;
- Chicken fillet – 200 g;
- Onion – ½ pcs;
- Egg yolk – 4 pcs;
- Cheese – 70 g;
- Egg white – 4 pieces;
- Mayonnaise.
Preparation of the salad:
Boil in advance in salted water chicken fillet. Peel boiled potatoes and grate them on a coarse grater, salt, pepper and tamp them in a salad bowl.
Cover each layer of the salad with mayonnaise
