One of the fastest meals known today is the sandwich. As a rule, they are created almost instantly. A small list of products makes a not particularly nutritious, but tasty meal. The
culture of sandwiches has long gone beyond the concept of a roll with butter. Now a sandwich is a piece of bread with different fillings – cheese, sausage, vegetables and so on. This version of sandwiches was invented by workers in the XX century.
The fact is that a roll with butter was not so nourishing for ordinary people. Such a breakfast was consumed by rich people.
We will tell you how to make sandwiches from sardines and cheese.
Ingredients for sardine sandwiches:
- Sardine in oil – 200 g;
- Boiled eggs – 5 pcs;
- Hard cheese – 150g;
- Mayonnaise – 3-4 tablespoons;
- Baguette – pcs;
- Garlic – 4 cloves;
- Green onions – a bundle;
- Parsley – bundle;
- Tomato – pcs.
Preparation of sardine sandwiches:
Sardines need to be separated from excess liquid and kneaded to a state of mush. In a bowl to the sardines rub boiled eggs and cheese, mix with mayonnaise
. Gradually pour 40-50 ml of liquid into the thick mass, continue mixing. Finely chop a bunch of green onions, add to the mixture.
Cut garlic into small slices, and baguette into thin slices. Tomato is divided into two parts and cut into thin slices.
In a frying pan with vegetable oil fry first the garlic slices and then the baguette slices. Spread the sardine stuffing on the toasted baguette, put the tomato slices and parsley sprigs on top.
It turns out to be an uncomplicated but tasty dish from simple ingredients. At the same time it can be put on the festive table as an appetizer.
