Beet dishes have always been in demand, especially in winter. The fact is that beets contain a lot of vitamins and minerals that help to maintain immunity at the proper level. Previously, beets were cooked all the time. Now the situation has changed a little.
Cooks do not want to cook beet dishes because of the fact that the vegetable takes a long time to cook. Beets dirty the dishes and have an unpleasant odor when cooked. Then it is worth baking beets or cooking in the microwave.
Let’s prepare together a beet appetizer

Ingredients:
- Beets – 250 g;
- Onions – 1 pc;
- Pickled cucumbers – 2 pieces;
- Egg – 2 pcs;
- Garlic – 2 cloves;
- Mayonnaise or sour cream;
- Salt – ⅓ tsp. salt.
Preparation:
Poke the beets with a fork and place in a baking bag. Pour about 60 ml of water into the bag, seal tightly with a tourniquet
. Poke a couple of holes in the bag and bake the beets in the microwave at 800 watt for 7 minutes. While the beets cool down, chop finely onions and pickles
. In a frying pan in vegetable oil fry onions until transparent, put cucumbers to it. Pass garlic through the press to onions and cucumbers, fry for 5 minutes.

Clean the boiled beet and grate it on a coarse grater, put it in a salad bowl.
Add eggs, fried onions and cucumbers to the beet.
Dress the salad with mayonnaise, salt and mix.
