Pour pies are commonly called baked goods for lazy people. The point is that you don’t have to prepare a bay pie step by step, kneading the dough and experimenting with fillings.
Up until the 20th century, making bay pies was a shame, as baking was an important cultural part of society. Housewives put their hearts and souls into making pies. Often the pies were kneaded, the filling prepared and baked for 5-6 hours.
Nowadays, the concept of long cooking times has faded into the background. Therefore, we want to demonstrate a recipe for a simple bay pie.
Ingredients for bay pie dough:
- kefir – 200 ml;
- butter – 50 g;
- sour cream – 150 g;
- cheese – 100 g;
- eggs – 3 pcs;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- flour – 170 g;
- leavening agent – tsp.
Ingredients for the filling:
- boiled eggs – 5 pcs;
- salt – ⅓ tsp;
- green onions – 100 g.
Preparation of the filling pie:
To prepare the filling, you need to finely dice eggs, chop green onions. In a bowl mix green onions and eggs, salt.
To make the dough, you need to combine kefir, sour cream and eggs in one bowl. Mix flour with baking powder, sift into the mixture of sour cream and kefir
. Add salt to the dough, knead to a homogeneous mass. Grate the cheese finely, put it in the dough, mix.
Mix the dough with soft butter, put a part of it in a baking mold (diameter 20 cm). We level the dough on the surface, add a layer of stuffing.
On the filling, lay out the second part of the dough. Bake the pie at 180 degrees for about 40-45 minutes.
It turns out a simple pie, which can be made in an hour, taking into account the baking time. Instead of egg and onion filling, fried minced meat is often used.
