Apple pies are quite a different dish, even though they are called by the same name. Underneath an apple pie may be a pastry with a caramel apple filling or a crumbly dough.

In Europe, pies with an open filling are often found. In the CIS countries, pies are made with a closed filling.
One thing that unites all apple pies is that they are tasty and hearty. Cooking 70% of apple pies is simple. Let’s tell you about one of the pie recipes.
Ingredients for apple pie:
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- sugar – 100 g;
- vanilla sugar – 8 g;
- vegetable oil – 40 g;
- butter – 60 g;
- leavening agent – 4 g;
- flour – 360 g.
Ingredients for the cream:
- egg – pcs;
- sugar – 60 g;
- starch – 50 g;
- ½ lemon zest;
- milk – 360 ml;
- butter – 20 g;
- lemon juice – tbsp.
Ingredients for decoration:
- apples – 4 pcs;
- lemon juice;
- sugar – tbsp;
- apricot jam – tbsp.
Preparation of apple pie:
Break eggs in a bowl, pour vanilla and classic sugar. Melt butter, pour into eggs together with vegetable oil, beat until homogeneous.
Combine baking powder and flour, pour into egg mixture and knead elastic and not sticky dough

Divide the dough into two equal parts. Cover the baking
dish
with parchment
. Place a portion of the dough on the parchment and roll out a round larger than the diameter of the dish. Put the dough with the parchment into the mold, form the bottom and sides, remove the excess.
In a saucepan beat an egg to prepare the cream. Pour sugar, starch and lemon zest. Pour milk into the mixture and put on medium heat, bring to thickening.
In the hot cream base put butter, pour lemon juice and stir. Put the cream in the cavity of the dough, which is laid out in the mold.
Cut apples into thin slices, remove the seed pods. Drizzle the apple slices with lemon juice.
Roll out the second part of the dough into a rectangular layer. Use a tablespoon to measure the gap between the cream layer and the top of the pie sides.
This distance is the thickness of the plates that will be created from the second layer of dough.
Place apple slices along the edge of the pie. On the rim of the apple slices lay out the plates of dough.
Similarly lay out the rest of the apple slices and plates of dough until we cover the entire surface of the pie in a similar pattern.
Sprinkle the top of the pie with sugar, bake at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
