. Few people made pies with exotic fruits such as oranges, lemons, and bananas. The reason was probably due to the high cost of exotic fruits. However, now it is possible to make a budget pie with orange.
Ingredients for orange pie:
- Egg – 4 pcs;
- Flour – 450 g;
- Leavening agent – 10 g;
- Sugar – 300 g;
- Salt – 1/3 tsp;
- Yogurt – 250 ml;
- Vegetable oil – 200 ml;
- Orange – 3 pcs.
Preparation of orange cake:
In a bowl break eggs, pour salt and granulated sugar, beat with a whisk until the grains of sand are dissolved. Pour vegetable oil and yogurt into the egg mixture, beat with a mixer.
Grate the orange on a fine grater – remove the zest

Add the zest to the egg and yogurt mixture, stir.
Pour the flour and baking powder into the mixture, knead into a slightly thick dough. Finely slice the orange slices and place them in the batter.
Cover the baking dish with parchment and pour the batter on the surface.
Bake the cake at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
By the way, instead of yogurt for the recipe, you can use sour cream.
After cooking, the pie should be sprinkled with powdered sugar.
