It is impossible to determine exactly who invented frying zucchini. This method of cooking zucchini may have originated in different cultures and at different times. Zucchini
is a versatile vegetable that can be cooked in different ways: boiled, stewed, baked, fried.
Fried zucchini is a simple and delicious dish that can stand alone or serve as a side dish to meat or fish. Therefore, we can assume that this method of preparation appeared quite a long time ago and was available to people from different cultures.
Let’s prepare fried zucchini at home.
Ingredients:
- Zucchini – 3 pcs;
- Salt – ½ tsp;
- Eggs – 3 pcs;
- Mayonnaise – 1 tbsp;
- Powdered breadcrumbs – 100 g;
- Flour – 4 tbsp;
- Paprika – ½ tsp;
- Garlic – 3 cloves;
- Dill – 2 tbsp;
- Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp;
- Cooled boiled water – 2 tbsp.
Preparation of fried zucchini:
Remove zucchini stalk and skin, make incisions along not all the way to the base of the zucchini.
Sprinkle zucchini
with
salt and leave for 15-20 minutes.
Beat eggs with mayonnaise, mix breadcrumbs with paprika and flour. Squeeze out the excess liquid from the zucchini and roll them in breadcrumbs. Coat
the breaded zucchini also in the egg mixture.
Put zucchini in a frying pan in hot vegetable oil.
Fry zucchini under a lid until golden on both sides.
Grate garlic on a fine grater, chop dill, mix with vegetable oil
.
Pour boiling water into the mixture.
Smear each fried zucchini with a mixture of garlic and herbs. It turns out a perfect breakfast of zucchini.
