Buns are the engine of progress for all European countries. The fact is that in many European countries there was a very large number of bakers. They baked buns in their own houses and bakeries. There could be up to 5 bakeries on one street.
In England, confectioners came up with the idea of delivering baked goods by courier to the homes of their customers. In France, bakeries began to be made outdoors in open spaces.
However, there is no better than home baking. Therefore, we suggest making baked goods yourself at home.
Ingredients for the buns:
- Milk – 450 ml;
- Sugar – 4 tbsp;
- Salt – tsp;
- Egg – 2 pcs;
- Yeast – 10 g;
- Leavening agent – tsp;
- Vegetable oil – 65 ml;
- Butter – 50 g;
- Vinegar 9% – tbsp;
- Flour – 1250 g.
Preparation of buns:
Pour yeast, granulated sugar, salt and leavening agent into warm milk.
Pour
in vegetable oil, beat the eggs, stir.
Pour the flour into the warm milk, knead a sticky elastic dough. Pour the soft butter and vinegar into the dough and continue kneading until homogeneous.
Place the dough in a deep bowl, cover with cling film and leave to rise for 40 minutes. Lightly knead the dough, divide it into small buns of 85 grams
each. Grease a baking tray with vegetable oil and place the buns on it at a distance from each other. Cover the buns with cellophane and leave them for half an hour. Brush
the buns with a mixture of egg yolk and a spoonful of milk.
If desired, sprinkle the buns with sesame seeds and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
In the end we have soft puffy buns. Instead of sesame seeds, you can sprinkle them with poppy seeds before cooking, and add raisins to the dough.
