Draniki is a common appetizer in Belarus, Poland and Lithuania. As a rule, they are fried fritters according to a special recipe. For the most part, they are prepared from potatoes. He makes up a large part of all the ingredients. But, there are recipes with other products. For example, with turnips, and with cabbage.
What is the difference between fritters with cabbage and fritters with potatoes?
First, they differ in flavor. Potato ones will be more familiar to most people. At the same time, cabbage draniki can be no less tasty.
Secondly, it is believed that cabbage draniki are healthier, as they do not contain excess starch.
Let’s create cabbage draniki in our kitchen to test their taste and usefulness

Ingredients:
- cabbage – 650 g;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- vinegar 6% – 1 tbsp;
- boiling water;
- onion – 1 pc;
- garlic – clove;
- eggs – 3 pcs;
- ground pepper – a pinch;
- coriander;
- turmeric;
- paprika;
- sour cream – 1 tbsp;
- flour – 4 tbsp.
Preparation:
Very finely chop cabbage, put in a pot, salt and pour vinegar and boiling water, stir. Cover with a lid and bring cabbage to a boil
. Cook cabbage on low heat for 5 minutes. Chop the onion finely, grate garlic on a small grater. Fry the onion and garlic in a frying pan with vegetable oil.
Drain the cabbage with a colander

Leave the cabbage to cool down, and then break eggs into it, put fried onions, ground pepper, coriander, turmeric and paprika.
Mix all the components, add sour cream and flour. Knead the dough. In a frying pan in a small amount of oil, fry the pancakes on both sides for 5 minutes until browned.
As a result, we have simple cabbage pancakes.
They should be served together with herbs and sour cream.
