Cakes in the modern sense look like a large airy product made of cream, meringue and chocolate. There are many fillings available in the composition of confectionery cakes. This is fruit, caramel, chocolate cream, coconut shavings and other sweet ingredients.
This variety of products is not always available to ordinary housewives in free access. However, this does not mean that it will be impossible to prepare a cake.

Ingredients for the cake:
- eggs – 3 pcs;
- salt – a pinch;
- sugar – 12 tbsp;
- vegetable oil – 12 tbsp. l.;
- milk – 12 tbsp;
- lemon zest;
- juice of ½ lemon;
- flour – 12 tbsp;
- leavening agent – tbsp;
- melted milk – 100 ml;
- whipped cream – 150 ml;
Ingredients for the glaze:
- cream – 200 ml;
- sugar – 4 tbsp;
- butter cream – tbsp.
Cake preparation:
In a bowl break the eggs, pour salt, start beating with a mixer. Gradually pour sugar into the egg mixture, continuing to work with a mixer
. Then pour vegetable oil and milk into the mixture, stir. Add lemon zest and lemon juice to the mixture.
Sift flour and baking powder into the egg mixture and beat with a whisk until there are no lumps. Cover a 22×20 cm baking dish with parchment, pour the batter into it, level it.
Bake the biscuit at 180 degrees for 35 minutes in the oven. Pour the melted milk and whipped cream into a saucepan. Cook the milk and cream over medium heat for 4 minutes. Pierce
the biscuit with a fork all over the surface and pour the hot milk over it. Put the biscuit in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. In the meantime
, for the glaze, mix the cream and sugar in a bowl and beat for a couple of minutes with a mixer. Add the buttercream to the glaze, beat until stiff peaks form.
Cover the cold sponge cake with the glaze all over the surface.
