Therefore, cakes were created from fruits, where the sugar content is higher. Fruits made pies and cakes sweet, which was the point of desserts.
However, it turns out that carrot cakes came to us from the Middle Ages. The first recipes for this healthy dessert were known to people long ago. Of course, carrot cakes used to be prepared in a different way.
Now carrot cakes have delicate cakes, sweet cream. Carrots are combined with many fruits, for example, with oranges.

Ingredients for citrus carrot cake:
- carrots – 3 pcs;
- eggs – 4 pcs;
- sugar – 200 g;
- orange juice – 100 ml;
- flour – 300 g;
- vegetable oil – 100 ml;
- cinnamon – tsp;
- leavening agent – 16 g;
- walnuts – 150 g.
Preparation of citrus carrot cake:
Grate carrots on a fine grater. Break eggs in a separate bowl and beat thoroughly with a mixer
. Pour sugar to the eggs, continue to beat. Pour in the orange juice and vegetable oil, mix. Pour some of the flour into the mixture, knead the dough with the mixer.
Pour the rest of the flour into the dough, continue kneading. Pour the cinnamon and baking powder into the dough, mix with a spatula.
Add the shredded carrots into the dough in batches, mix with a spatula.
