The popularity of chocolate cake hasn’t waned since the 18th century! This dessert is quite well known almost all over the world. There are traditional recipes for chocolate cake in European countries and in America. And there are often several ways to prepare the dessert.
The main ingredient for chocolate cake is directly chocolate. Additional fillings include berries, fruits, nuts and even vegetables.

We will show you how to make a simple homemade chocolate cake.
Ingredients of sponge cake for chocolate cake:
- flour – 130 g;
- cocoa – 30 g;
- condensed milk – 180 g;
- leavening agent – 2 tsp;
- eggs – 2 pcs.
Ingredients for the cream:
- sour cream – 300 g;
- butter – 180 g;
- powdered sugar – 180 g;
- vanilla sugar – 10 g.
Preparation of chocolate cake:
To prepare the sponge cake, beat the eggs in a bowl with condensed milk. Sift the flour, cocoa and baking powder into the condensed milk and knead the batter without lumps.

Grease the parchment with vegetable oil, spread the dough.
Bake the biscuit in the oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
We divide the biscuit into 2 cakes.
While the cakes are cooling, prepare the cream – mix butter with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Beat the components with a mixer for 3-4 minutes.
Pour into the cream mixture fat cold sour cream, beat until homogeneous. Grease one of the cakes with cream, cover with the second one.
Cream the top of the cake and the walls as well.
You can decorate the cake with grated chocolate. Do not forget to put the cake in the refrigerator for a couple of hours for soaking.
