Vinaigrette is considered one of the easiest salads to prepare. It appeared quite a long time ago, and still holds the bar of popularity among the population of many countries. Vinaigrette is prepared differently everywhere. They add dressings, spicy foods, seaweed, mushrooms, nuts and so on. However, one component of the vinaigrette remains unchanged – beets.

In Asia, mushrooms and their own varieties of cabbage are added to the vinaigrette.
A real vinaigrette does not imply a multitude of components in the composition. Otherwise, this salad would not be called simple.
Let’s prepare a classic vinaigrette.
Ingredients for vinaigrette:
- Potatoes – 4 pcs;
- Carrots – 2 pcs;
- Beets – 3 pcs;
- Red onion – 1 pc;
- Pickled cucumber – 3 pcs;
- Canned beans – 200 g;
- Sour cabbage – 150 g;
- Dijon mustard – 1 tsp;
- Apple cider vinegar – 1/2 tsp;
- Unrefined vegetable oil – 4 tbsp;
- Salt – ½ tsp.
Preparation of vinaigrette:
Bake in the oven in advance potatoes, carrots and beets. Clean the vegetables and cut into small cubes. Similarly cut pickled cucumbers and red onions.
Put pickled cucumbers, onions, beets, carrots and potatoes in a salad
bowl
, add sauerkraut and beans.
For dressing in a separate bowl mix mustard with oil, apple
cider
vinegar and salt.
Dress the salad with this dressing and mix thoroughly

Instead of this dressing, you can simply drizzle the salad with unrefined oil. Sour cucumbers are also often used instead of pickled cucumbers.
