Meatballs can be stewed, baked, fried, steamed and boiled. They are suitable for both old people and children. Certain meatball recipes can be used for dietary dishes. The
dish originated in the Turkic peoples. The recipe reached Europe through Austrian and Balkan cuisine.
Now meatballs are spread all over the world, but they have different names. For example, in Sweden – Swedish meatballs, in Armenia – kofta, in America – mitbols, etc. We will make our own meatballs, study the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 500 gr of minced meat;
- Onion;
- Egg;
- 120 gr bread;
- Garlic clove;
- 75 ml cream;
- Adjika;
- Sunflower oil;
- Flour;
- Thyme, rosemary;
- Laurel leaf;
- Salt, pepper.
Ingredients for the gravy:
- 1 tablespoon flour;
- 1 tablespoon of butter;
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste;
- Water;
- 1/2 teaspoon dried garlic;
- 0.5 teaspoon sugar;
- 1 teaspoon paprika;
- Salt.
Preparation:
Take a few slices of bread and get rid of the crust. Then cut into cubes of medium size. Send the preparation to a deep bowl.
Add 75 ml of cream, you can use milk. Next, break one hen’s egg. Requires one teaspoon of dry adjika seasoning and a pinch of salt. We put spices to taste.
Mix the prepared mixture with minced meat. Add finely chopped onion. Press the garlic clove through the press and send it to the rest of the ingredients.
Form small meatballs and roll them in flour. Heat a frying pan with sunflower oil, fry until brown.
Do not finish the meatballs so that they are not dry. Instead, send the blanks into a mold for baking. Put a few bay leaves, fresh rosemary and thyme. Fill with gravy.
To prepare the gravy, we will need to send a cube of butter to the skillet. Then one tablespoon of flour.
Stir and fry until golden.
Add one tablespoon of tomato paste. Fry. Slowly add water, 250 milliliters in total.
Add half a teaspoon of dried garlic and sugar to the gravy. Don’t forget a teaspoon of sweet paprika.
We send it to the oven heated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
